Sifu Barry Gommer began his martial arts studies at the age of 15, studying tae kwon do, northern kung fu, and his chosen art of Hung Ga Kung fu. Sifu Gommer is proud to be one of Master Pedro Cepero Yee's "Jo Gow" disciples and one of his chosen Yup Sut-Inner Room Disciples.

He was a long time assistant to Master Pedro C. Yee at the Clifton, New Jersey branch of Yees's Hung Ga International Kung Fu Association. He has performed in the Peoples Republic of China in the cities of Hong Kong, Tai Shan and Hoi Ping and at the Huang Fei Hong Museum in Foshan. He is also a familiar face in New York china town where he has often performed lion dance for the Annual New Years festivies.

Sifu Barry Gommer is a licensed acupuncturist graduating from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and has also had extensive training in Tuina - Chinese Body Work Therapy & Swedish massage both at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine where he was studying Chinese medicine. He is also a nationally licensed massage therapist as well as being licensed in the state of Florida.

At present he is teaching a small group of dedicated practitioners in Boynton Beach, Florida.
