Sifu Riccardo Russo (余偉奇), Sifu 3rd Dan, is the President of Yee's Hung Ga - Italy, having firmly  established the Italian Headquarters' base of operations for the Association.

He began his Martial Arts training in 1992 with a southern style of Praying Mantis (Tang Lang Nam Pai) under Master Alessandro Cossu. From 1998, Riccardo began studying Kwong Sai Jook Lum Mantis under the then World Grandmaster Gin Foon Mark and his senior disciples.

While attending graduate studies in Florida, USA, Sifu Russo’s zest for learning and exploring and experiencing the Southern Chinese Kung Fu Styles, led him to the Dragon style of Kung Fu, Lung Ying Jing Jung under Master Lum Chi Ping as well as Choy Lay Fut under Master John Wai.

Riccardo started his training in Hung Ga Kung Fu in 2004 under Master Pedro Cepero Yee (余彼祖), at the USA Headquarters of Yee’s Hung Ga International Kung Fu Association. His study of Traditional Tang Fong Hung Ga Kung Fu was rigorous and intense, bringing him immense satisfaction and skill. After years of study, as their relationship began to grow, he was asked to perform the Bai Si ceremony, and became a Yap Moon disciple of his teacher, Master Pedro Cepero Yee, in 2010.

From 2005 to 2007, while training in Hung Ga Kung Fu, Sifu Riccardo Russo broadened his martial arts skills by learning Yang style Tai Chi, at the Jing Institute of Chinese Martial Arts & Culture (San Diego), under Master Siu-Fong Evans and her daughter Lui Guojing Evans.

Under the close guidance of Master Pedro Cepero Yee, Riccardo has studied Hung Ga Kung Fu, Tuina Therapy, Qigong methods, Medical Qigong therapy, and Dragon and Lion Dance.  He has performed in many demonstrations as well as the famed NYC Chinatown Annual Super Saturday Lunar New Year parades. His performances have garnered immense praise from the New York City Chinatown Community. 

Sifu Riccardo Russo has accompanied Master Pedro Cepero Yee on his trips to Italy and abroad, assisting in teaching and translating during the workshops in Turin (Italy) and Scotland (UK). 

Sifu Russo has also participated in the Yee's Hung Ga World Reunions in China, and was present during Great Grandmaster Tang Fong's Memorial celebration in 2024.

Riccardo continued his passion for understanding different arts, studying both Kick Boxing and Muay Thai under his good friend Master Emanuele Feoli.

Currently, Sifu Riccardo Russo teaches Hung Ga Kung Fu privately in Rome and Civitavecchia (Italy), and continues his studies with both his teacher, Master Pedro Cepero Yee (余彼祖), and Grandteacher, Grandmaster Frank Yee (余志伟), as he has done continuously since 2004.
